What does the Breast Augmentation involve?
The procedure takes approximately 2 hours and is carried out under  intravenous sedation and local anaesthetic, given by a specialist anaesthetist. (General anaesthetic may be used).
Surgery is performed in our licensed day surgery facility.

What should I expect after Breast surgery?
• Moderate discomfort (relieved by oral painkillers) over the first   24-48 hours, subsiding over a week.
• Moderate swelling settles over 2-4 weeks.
• A sports bra or crop-top is worn for several weeks.
• Return to work depends on the type of work and varies from   2-6 weeks.
• No more than gentle arm movement for 2 weeks: no lifting babies   or toddlers, carrying shopping, driving or upper body exercise.
• Gradual resumption of normal activities over 2-4 weeks, sporting  activities over 6-12 weeks.
• Post-operative follow-up routinely consists of 2-3 further   appointments over a 1- 6 month period.
• Implants “settle” and feel like a natural part of your body over   6-12 weeks.
